If you're spending more than you make...you've got some rethinking to do...
Allow myself to rant about the green stuff, gwap, dinero, the paper-- whatever you want to call it, I'm referring to money. I truely believe that if money didn't exist the world would be a more peaceful place and greed wouldn't exist as much. I have an issue mostly though with people who mispend it. Maybe it was the way I grew up in a modest home, but I think my generation and those that follow are in big trouble if the majority have the mentality that it's ok to spend every dollar they have. I can't seem to fathom how lots of my peers spend every paycheck on some silly material item and then complain that they're broke....well dumbass, how about you actually save and budget what you can and can't spend instead of splurging on those new jordans or MAC make-up set. There seriously needs to be some kind of intervention or seminar in which they're taught how to save and all that because this is getting more and more out of hand each year.

Happy Belated 22nd Birthday to me!
Although a few days late, my 22nd birthday (Nov.16) was celebrated the way I had intended to. Quiet and peaceful with my boyfriend, Mike and a trip around Central Park ending in the Boathouse. I fell in love with this place the first time I visited earlier this summer and decided if I ever decide to get married, this would be the ideal spot.

Mike got me one of the best presents of all. While he's in the same boat as me with unemployment, I didn't expect him to get me anything, but instead he got me a nice bouquet of flowers which are still alive about 8 days later! He also managed to get me a Big Bird vase filled with all my favorite fruit from Edible Arrangements which made me laugh and smile since Big Bird was my favorite Sesame Street character growing up.

But Earlier last week I had the "party" portion of my birthday celebrated with some of my closest friends which was fun despite the fact that vodka got to me and I lost my camera in the most mysterious way. I was so upset considering I'd been dressed to the nines and took lots of pictures. Only a few people had cameras so only a few pictures are on Facebook from that night...

There has to be an easier way to do this....
So I graduted in May from St.John's and guess what...NO JOB. After career fairs, interviews, so many resumes and cover letters emailed and mailed...I can't help but think there is no hope. Well, wait I lie. I'm working a part time retail job at the NBA store which I guess pays the bills, but only leaves me detesting foreigners due to its touristy location. Not to say I didn't expect this--I have worked retail before, but only seasonally. Now I have no other choice but to do this until something in the field i studied comes along.
Despite hating retail, on a lighter note, due to my job I was able to meet former Knick Allan Houston(#20)and get an autograph for my beloved boyfriend-a HUGE fan of his. He was a good looking and nice guy, hopefully we'll be seeing more of him in the future....

And speaking of the Knicks, they were playing the Celtics today and NEARLY beat them. The game was so exciting and emotional, i thought me and a few coworkers were the only people really into it. Yes, I know the Knicks aren't the best team in the league, but I still gotta support NY and they did impressively well playing against a strong team. It went into overtime and sadly left Knicks fans disappointed with the celts beating them during OT 107-105.
They're playing the Lakers on Tuesday lets see how that goes....
